I like Michelle's idea. To take it a step further, can you imagine the chaos caused by say several hundred letters from attorneys (hired by xJWs) showing up in a span of a few days in WT's mailbox? Such a coordinated (attack) request is not difficult to pull off and it won't cost more than a $100-$200 individually, which is reasonable for some sense of closure.

How I obtained my personal files from Bethel
by jwfacts init has taken me a long time, but i have finally put together an article outlining how i used the law to force bethel to send me my personal files.

in brief, in 2006 i requested that bethel send me my files on the basis that the australian privacy act 1988 entitles people to receive a copy of any information a corporation holds about them.

Looks like the email is a joke, and in my opinion aimed at cooling off JW expectations of the new system.
What I find funny is that anytime a discussoin with similar topics has come up in the past, we've been told that new scrolls will be opened and to wait on Jehovah. Well, wait no more, 'cos, Jehovah ain't gonna do it for ya.
There was a post maybe a week ago from someone referencing a link to the HIstory Channel's special on what would happen if humans suddenly dissapeared one day, but everything else is left intact. A very grim picture of infrastructure failure, nuclear and chemical disaters...something JWs are great at averting (with their nuclear physics and chemical engineering degrees )
JWs refuse to even consider the logistics of a world thrown back in the 1st century, a picture clearly not represented by the panda bears, vegan lions and other socialist realism art peddled by the WT...

Do not circulate recordings or transcripts of talks at the meetings last night.
by life is to short inok i listening in for the meetings and will probably go to the special talk sunday, they are having it this week because of the special assembly day last weekend.. i am doing this for a very good reason but it is driving me crazy listening to this stuff.
i need to vent of else i feel i will go crazy.
it is so stupid.. ok so last night was the question box and it was about recording the public talks.

Measuring the power consumption of an appliance

I second Jim's advice. Also, keep in mind that 70W (especially in an intermittent mode) is not really that much power. For example, if your device was on 50% of the time on a 24/7 mode, that will mean 840W a day. With average cost of electricity ~$0.15/KWH this translates to about $1.25 a day.

In an instant, millions (billions?) new, different and unique physical neuron connections were created, while at the same time millions (billions?) associated with the language already in use were severed?!?! That's BEFORE we take into account related implications of deleting other billions of connections associated with memories about accounts involving experiences, conversations, emotions all in that first native language...the resulting damage may be less if we put our brain into a food processor
I am fluent in 3 languages (English being my second) and let me tell you - YOU NEVER FORGET YOUR MOTHER'S TONGUE!! I don't care if you are in a coma, half-dead, almost dead, fried on LSD meth or whatever, the first spoken language stays with you till death!
OK, we also know about the omnipotence of (Jehovah) God, maybe that's a plausible explanation, although the Almighty used his powers to punish people for not worshipping Him properly...but this is another topic.
Do you have an opinion/belief on how exactly did that giant/instant/massive language scramble happen?
